Better-than-Pumpkin Cheesecake


Aunt Annie always said, “the best pumpkin pie is a sweet potato pie.” The same is true for cheesecake! While very similar in flavor, sweet potatoes have natural sweetness and a depth of flavor that pumpkins don’t. So we start this cheesecake with fresh sweet potatoes, cook them until soft and creamy and then incorporate them into the cheesecake filling. Then we top each cheesecake with marshmallow cream icing, southern style, and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon.
