Experience Our Beloved, Timeless Recipe

Laura's Cheesecake was founded in 1989 as the passion project of Mrs. Laura Bass and her desire to share the recipes beloved by her friends and family with her community. Today, we carry on her legacy by baking her original recipe, using the same quality ingredients:  fresh cream cheese from Texas, pure cane sugar, fresh shell eggs and Daisy® sour cream. In the same spirit of sharing, we continue to expand our community beyond our small East Texas town by packaging and shipping our cheesecakes across the contiguous United States (lower 48 states).

Share Love, Share Laura's

Today, Laura’s is co-owned and operated by Suzanne and Mitchell Walker. Married for over 30 years, they've always dreamed of owning a business that could be a conduit to share far and wide the same love that's been the bedrock of their blended family. For them, Laura's is about more than just cheesecakes. It's a reason for people to come together and share something special. The foundation of every great conversation is common ground, and enjoying a handcrafted cheesecake inspired by love is something we believe everyone can agree on.

Laura's Cafe

Our cheesecakes may ship far and wide, but we also have a hometown cafe on the square in downtown Mount Pleasant that specializes in lunch, homemade cookies, cupcakes, and, of course, cheesecake! Just like Mrs. Laura Bass all those years ago, we continue to serve special food that makes our friends and customers feel loved. We make just about everything we serve from scratch, sourcing the freshest produce and ingredients we can find, and by paying close attention to what we put on every plate – from our flavorful sandwiches and vibrant salads, to our delicious desserts.
